A surprising longevity secret

July 16, 2018

Being the matriarch of a huge clan apparently can slow aging. Lots of social science studies have always shown being married, having a loved one (yes pets, to some extent count) at home, or even a loved one's big event like at birth upcoming keep women living longer. The thought that this has been some sort of 'reason to live' effect that keeps us exercising and eating well. But it's probably the hormone estrogen that acts to protect tissues. In this new study it is shown that the actual chromosome aging process that keeps us alive long is slowed for each child. So when we say that these children are making our hair gray, our wrinkles deeper, or adding pounds; say it with a smile as you will be here longer to enjoy your little rascals even more! And to make the healthiest pregnancies you can, see your gyno to plan the pregnancy first.
