Breast Implant Foreign Body Reaction

Most women will not have problems with their breast implants. It is possible to have a foreign body reaction to any breast implant, but reaction to silicone implants are the most common if they are to occur. If you have implant and you have painful breasts, nodules around your implants, particularly of the breast tissue, a feeling of breast tightness, or new pains you may be having a foreign body reaction. Other signs might be deformation of the implant, or fluid collection or swelling around the implant. Not all foreign body reactions need to be treated, as the treatment is usually removal of the implant.
