Does Your IUD Have Barnacles?

New Farm Park, QLD
Some women develop irregular bleeding when they have an IUD. It may be from hormonal issues having nothing directly to do with the IUD, or it can be a localized uterine condition that is related to the IUD. Do you wonder what that IUD is looking like when sitting inside your uterus? Could the IUD be getting barnacles? Not exactly barnacles, but you’re getting close if you wonder what’s happening in there to your IUD. Some, not all, seem to accumulate salts and that can be irritating to the lining tissues of the uterus and produce irregular bleeding. It’s a bit difficult to make this diagnosis other than by removing the IUD and inspecting it, but sometimes ultrasounds, biopsies or pap smears do get cluse.
