Pop it in, and forget about it, for a year!

IUDs have a five year commitment, but they do require MD insertion, and they require MD removal. It would be nice to have long term simpler, but still effective, contraception. Wow, request is granted, this is nice, a vaginal ring that could provide effectiveness for an entire year!

The clever scientists developed a whole new progesterone, a pro-drug sort of concept. the hormone itself is not active if swallowed, but when absorbed it becomes a contraceptively-active progesterone! Nice. A whole new way to think...outside the....or, er, inside the...ok, you thinking like I'm thinking, good, you get it! When it comes to contraception, long protection is good protection!
